Board of Directors

Iowa Student Loan is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the governor of Iowa. Board members represent educational, banking and public interest sectors. The Board provides extensive levels of oversight, checks and balances that ensure Iowa Student Loan adheres to its mission and meets its obligations. The current Iowa Student Loan Board of Directors includes the following members:

• Steve Ollenburg, Chairman, President and CEO of MWA Bank.
• Victoria Payseur, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Vice President of Business and Finance at Drake University.
• Catherine (Kay) E. Beyerink, CEO of Telco Triad Community Credit Union.
• Tom Gronstal, Superintendent of Banking for the state of Iowa.
• John V. Hartung, President of the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
• Laurie Hempen, President of the New London Community School Board.
• Patricia Keir, Chancellor of Eastern Iowa Community College in Davenport.
• Rudolph S. Leytze, Chairman of BankIowa and president and chairman of Fidelity Bancorp.
• John O’Byrne, retired after 21 years as president of Cresco Union Savings Bank, and currently serves as vice chairman of its Board of Directors.
• Robert Wilson "Bill" Sackett, attorney in general practice in Okoboji.
