Understand Your Credit Report
The best way to understand your credit history is to review copies of your credit report from each of the four national consumer reporting agencies. You should review your credit report at least once a year to make sure the information recorded is accurate.
The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act) gives you the right to receive a free credit report from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion once every 12 months.
